Tree Removal

Removing / cutting down that tree that might just have grown to big for where it is or it has become unsafe or dangerous.

Dead Wooding

The removal of dead, dying or diseased branches within the tree canopy to avoid damage to property or danger to pedestrians from falling debris of the tree.

When should you cut back a hedge?

When to trim hedges. New hedges require formative pruning for their first couple of years after planting. Formative pruning is usually carried out in late summer or early spring. After this a maintenance trim is carried out, usually once a year for informal hedges and twice a year for formal hedges..

Thinning / Branch Weight Reduction

The removal of branches to reduce the density of the tree, to allow more light to pass through the tree and to make the tree less susceptible to strong wind damage and where there may be a danger to the public / pedestrians or damage to the property.

Pollarding

Cutting off all the epicormic growth / branches at end of each branch for aesthetic reasons which is usually done on a yearly or bi annual basis.

Crown Reduction

The cutting back of crown branches to reduce the height or spread of the tree also for aesthetic or safety reasons.
